Birmingham make move for forgotten Norwich forward Lafferty

Birmingham City are set to go after Norwich City's Kyle Lafferty.

The Birmingham Mail suggests that Gary Rowett is looking to add some scoring potency to his goal-shy line-up which has netted four goals in their past nine Championship outings and just 41 in 37 games for the season.

Northern Ireland international Lafferty has not played for the Canaries since early January and has made three substitute appearances for Alex Neil this term and is eager for regular minutes ahead of this summer's Euro2016.

A short-term move to St Andrew's, which would need to take place before the loan window closes on Thursday, could represent a win for all parties as the ninth-placed Brum strive to make a late-season push for a promotion play-off spot.
