Birmingham City have made an improved bid for Cardiff City defender Roger Johnson.
The Daily Mail says Brum have made a new £5m bid for Johnson.
Birmingham are still keen on Johnson after having a £3.5m bid rejected last week and are also close to signing Ecuador international central defender Giovanny Espinoza 32, from Barcelona Sporting Club.
