Birmingham City have made an improved offer for Crystal Palace fullback Nathaniel Clyne.
The Birmingham Mail says the Eagles are looking to clear £2 million for the highly-rated defender, having rejected Blues' initial offer, believed to be around £750,000.
Blues are set to make another offer, with Palace understood to be ready to agree to a series of add-ons.
Blues are keen to move fast and spirit the right-back away due to much interest from rival Premier League clubs and before new manager George Burley, who was appointed yesterday, can get his feet under the table at Selhurst Park.
