bcfc.com reports young goalkeeper Butland, an England under-19 international, was handed a first team squad number yesterday with back-up custodian Colin Doyle a doubt though illness.

But in the end the Irishman recovered sufficiently to take his place on the bench.

Butland is regarded among England's brightest young goalkeeping talents.
