Birmingham hope to use Hodgson confusion to land Fulham striker Zamora

Birmingham City are launching a bid for Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.

The Daily Mail says Birmingham City are hoping to exploit the uncertainty surrounding Roy Hodgson's position at Fulham by reviving their bid to sign Fulham striker Zamora.

Hodgson is wanted by Liverpool and is on England's shortlist should Fabio Capello step down.

Despite the fact Fulham would turn to Mark Hughes if they lost Hodgson, Birmingham believe they can tempt Zamora away and have put him back on their wish-list.
