Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is missing a dozen players due to injury for their FA Cup tie with Bolton Wanderers.
David Bentley is the latest to join the casualty list after limping off in Brum's 1-1 draw at Everton on Wednesday.
Boss Big Eck said: "It must be the worst injury run I've had. It doesn't make it easy for you because you are only as good as the players you have at your disposal.
"You can shape them, organise them and give them tactics but there's no doubt, as Arsene Wenger says, that great players make great managers."
