Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has given Martin Taylor a break following last week's controversy.
Defender Taylor, 28, faces a three-week enforced lay-off for the red card after his challenge on Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva.
And McLeish has given him a four-day mid-season break to help him come to terms with everything that has happened.
McLeish added: "We've drawn a line under it. We're pleased with Eduardo's stance on the whole thing and the way Arsene Wenger retracted his original comments.
"That should help to pacify all the critics, the fact these top people have come out and vindicated 'Tiny'."
