Birmingham City have given England squad member Jack Butland the all clear to play in the London Olympics.

The Daily Mail says Butland is on the 35-strong shortlist but Team GB coach Stuart Pearce was under the impression that his club were going to take advantage of an edict over players not being involved in both tournaments.

But the FA have already had written confirmation from Birmingham's owners that they have 'no issues' with Butland, who might be sold before the Games, being in Team GB.
