Birmingham furious with agent of Arsenal's Eduardo

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is furious with the agent of Arsenal striker Eduardo.

The Daily Star says Eduardo made his comeback for Arsenal on Monday night, 12 months after a challenge from Blues defender Martin Taylor left him with a broken leg and dislocated ankle.

'Big Eck' is livid that Eduardo subsequently claimed, in an interview arranged by the agent, that Taylor had made no attempt to say sorry.

"The agent has been a naughty guy and deserves no credit for that at all," said McLeish. "We know the facts. I can show you e-mails, show you the proof and get the Arsenal people in here and they will tell you Martin was at the hospital twice, and has done this and that since.

"I don't think Martin needs to say sorry for the tackle. He went for the ball, so why apologise for that? He was extremely sorry for the injury, but he genuinely went for the ball and I know anybody with half a brain in football knows that."

Eduardo is now out for two weeks with a hamstring injury.
