Birmingham City had hoped to have Peter Luccin in town on Saturday.

The Birmingham Mail says the plan was for Luccin to watch Blues at Derby County on Saturday, but there was a hitch over travel arrangements.

Blues have been in negotiation with Atletico Madrid and Luccin for several days and are confident they can persuade him to join.

Transfer fee, wages and length of contract have been agreed in principle and it's a case of Luccin being satisfied after face-to-face talks.
