Birmingham exceed relegation points total

Birmingham were relegated on 35 points last time in the Premier League.

Victory over Wolves at St Andrew’s got them pass that mark – they’re now on 37 points – still with 14 games remaining, reports the Birmingham Mail.

Alex McLeish remarked: “It’s a marvellous feeling, we have come a long way in the last two years.

“But we are still evolving as a team, as a club, and we do not want to stop and think we can relax now.

“That’s not the way we think, not the way the guys in that dressing room think as well. Even had we lost the game, we would still be in a good position and a lot of teams would be wanting to trade places with us.

“But we continue to go on and try to pick up as many points as possible,” he said.
