Birmingham City have pulled out of the running to sign Celtic winger Aiden McGeady and Rangers striker Kris Boyd, according to reports in Scotland.
Blues boss Alex McLeish is unwilling to pay the £10 million fee for McGeady that the Bhoys are believed to be holding out for and Spartak Moscow are now favourites to sign him.
The Blues boss is also a long-term admirer of Boyd, who was again top scorer in the Scottish Premier League last season, but is reported to have ended his interest in the free agent.
