Birmingham City defender Steven Caldwell has joined Toronto FC on a short-term loan.
The 32-year old, who comes out of contract at St Andrew's this summer, will stay with the Reds until June 30.
"We're pleased that Steven has agreed to join us on loan until July. He's a proven defender with great experience," Toronto FC president and GM Kevin Payne said in a club statement. "We expect him to help shore up our defense."
TFC will benefit from the experience of the Scotsman who has played for such clubs as Newcastle United, Sunderland, Burnley and Wigan Athletic throughout his career.
