Birmingham City chiefs have cooled talk of a move for Arsenal legend Robert Pires.
The Birmingham Mail says comments by former Arsenal winger Pires that Blues have made 'serious enquiries' have been met with a blank response at St Andrew's.
It is not thought that the 36-year-old, who has been released by Villarreal, is on Alex McLeish's hit list.
