Birmingham co-owner Sullivan eyes £70M Ipswich bid

Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan is being linked with a takeover bid for Ipswich Town.

The Daily Express says Sullivan is planning a £70million buyout of struggling Ipswich if he sells Birmingham to Hong Kong entrepreneur Carson Yeung.

Ipswich, 10th in the Championship, are £36m in debt and in the process of hiring advisers to put in place a refinancing of the club.

Yeung's supposed takeover of Birmingham has been going on for more than three months, but it looks likely the deal will now be completed by the end of November.
