Birmingham chief Pannu: More signings will follow Zigic, Foster

Birmingham City vice-chairman Peter Pannu says the club will be very active in the summer market.

Pannu has been out to South Africa for the World Cup finals to mingle with some of football's movers and shakers.

Pannu, Alex McLeish, Carson Yeung and Michael Wiseman were all present at the opening game in Johannesburg, between South Africa and Mexico.

Pannu told the Birmingham Mail: "We are pleased with the business we have done so far, but we are all of the view that we haven't done yet.

"We still need a tricky, fast, cheeky sort of ace striker to support our other players and Nikola Zigic.

"Also, a creative player, a replica of a Barry Ferguson if you like for midfield as well or, alternatively, a fast, flanking player who can cause danger running up and down the wing and provide service for the likes of Zigic.

"Carson is actively involved in discussions with Alex and his staff and we are all working very hard to strengthen the team."
