Birmingham chief Brady scoffs at Perth Glory Phillips bid

Birmingham City chief Karren Brady has scoffed at Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell's attempts to sign Kevin Phillips. In her diary for The Sun, Karren wrote: "'This is not a rumour, this is a fact,' I read in an internet report that says Blues' striker Kevin Phillips is to move to a team called Perth Glory.

"It's news to me as last summer we tied Kevin to a two-year contract. The perpetrator is the Aussie club's boss Dave Mitchell who I inform is driving a Bushmaster through FIFA rules.

"'Sorry about that, lady,' he replies. 'Dya think you could give us tickets for your Wolves match?' I admire his cheek so much I say 'No.'"
