Birmingham City managing director Karren Brady is confident they will sign Argentina international Lucas Castroman in the summer.

In her diary for The Sun, Karren wrote: "Mauro Zarate is the boy gaucho riding to our rescue today, scoring twice in our vital home win against Manchester City. He's on loan for £1million and our fans are already hungry for us to sign him from Qatar. Valued at £18m - I don't think so.

"He's filling a space for Lucas Castroman, an Argentine with Club America who signed registration forms in January but failed to turn up at the airport. We discovered he'd chosen Boca Juniors, instead. The report is in to FIFA."
