Birmingham chasing Marseille star Niang
Olympique Marseille striker Mamadou Niang is in Birmingham City's sights.
The People says Brum boss Alex McLeish, armed with a hefty transfer kitty, is believed to be ready to test Marseille's resolve with a £5million bid for the 30-year-old Senegalese star.
The Blues boss was impressed with his display in the Champions League clash with AC Milan.
He also wants to sign a leftback and a box-to-box midfield man in the transfer window, which is likely to see Birmingham as one of the biggest spenders.
