Birmingham City are chasing Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd.
The Daily Mail says Alex McLeish will switch his attention to Bothroyd this summer after seeing long-term target Roman Pavlyuchenko re-discover his form at Spurs.
Birmingham City's boss has been seeking a target man for 12 months and made the Russian his number one choice during the transfer window.
However, despite making a £10m offer, Birmingham were unable to close the deal and now the Scot has his eyes fixed on Cardiff City's former England U21 international.
Bothroyd has 12 months to run on his existing contract and McLeish is hoping that he will be able to prise out the forward for around £1.5m.
