Birmingham chairman raps Arsenal's Cesc

Birmingham City chairman David Gold has blasted Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas for reopening the controversy surrounding Martin Taylor's tackle on Eduardo da Silva.

Taylor is going to play for City's reserves against Spurs this evening after serving a three-match ban for his red-card tackle on Eduardo last month.

And Blues chairman Gold is anxious distraught Taylor gets over the incident which has left Gunners striker Eduardo facing nine months out with a broken leg and dislocated ankle.

"Fabregas has got this wrong and I will stand by Martin through thick and thin," stormed Gold. "It wasn't a malicious tackle and Martin is incapable of such vengeance."
