Birmingham City chairman David Gold has revealed they're in talks with Inter Milan midfielder Patrick Vieira.
The Blues have held talks with the Inter Milan midfielder's representatives.
They believed he would be as influential a signing as his former France team-mate Christophe Dugarry who proved a major hit at St Andrew's six years ago.
But Vieira, 33, favours a move back to France and is being linked with Paris St Germain.
Co-owner David Gold said: "We have pulled rabbits out of the hat before and we want to do it again.
"People would see Vieira as the second Dugarry. A deal's not impossible but the odds aren't good."
