Birmingham City chairman David Gold is on the verge of resigning from his position at the club.
Following the departure of former owner David Sullivan and managing director Karren Brady, Gold is set to follow suit once Hong Kong businessman Carson Yeung makes the £80million transfer to take over the club.
It has been reported that Gold will not entirely opt out of the club and may remain in an ambassadorial role but he has also been linked with joining Sullivan who has expressed interest in the purchase of West Ham United.
