Birmingham City boss Harry Redknapp is making a move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

The Mirror says key to the deal is agent Darren Dein.

Dein - son of former Arsenal big-wig David - has a major say at the Championship club these days.

And it seems as though he is putting those links to the Gunners to good use. The wages being commanded by the England international are sky-high by Championship standards and it does seem highly unlikely that Brum will be able to meet all of his estimated £90,000-a-week deal.

Meanwhile, Redknapp has swooped for Alex Song from Rubin Kazan - a former teammate of Wilshere's at Arsenal.
