Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish says the arrival of David Murphy doesn't mean the end of the road at St Andrews for Franck Queudrue.

"I have got to say Franck Queudrue's performance (against Chelsea) was terrific," he said. "I am delighted he is getting to the level of fitness he needs to be at. You could see the quality he has when he's at, or close to, his peak.

"That has made it (team selection) very interesting with a new left-back coming in.

"It's brilliant for me. We got a reaction and you want that from someone when a competitor arrives in their position. That's all you can ask for."
