Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has revealed he was congratulated by Sir Alex Ferguson for their Carling Cup victory.

McLeish played for the Manchester United manager with Aberdeen.

Eck said: "I spoke to Sir Alex on the evening of the game. It's always nice when you get an accolade from a mentor.
