Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish admits some regret not signing a new left-back over the summer.
McLeish is pleased with his transfer business, though would have liked one new left-back signing.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "I did also try and get a left-back in. It's not that we're unhappy with Dave Murphy as cover just now, but he's just lacking games the last 12 months or so.
"So I did try for a recognised full-back to help the back four if something should happen to Liam Ridgewell, really. He made the position his own last season."
