Birmingham boss McLeish expects Ridgewell and Larsson to stay

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish expects uncertain duo Liam Ridgewell and Sebastian Larsson to remain with the club next term.

Both players are out of contract in the summer and speculation persists that they may move on from St Andrews but McLeish is confident that both players will stay in the West Midlands providing they get a fair deal.

"We were quite close on Liam and Seb a couple of weeks ago," McLeish said.

"I'm sure the guys will get a fair offer each, certainly money I could only have dreamed of when I was a player.

"I got my fiver rise at Aberdeen and Sir Alex Ferguson said to me, 'you're bleeding the club dry'."
