Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish will make a decision today on his new left-back signing.

The Birmingham Mail says McLeish checked out Boukary Drame, of Sochaux, on trial in yesterday's friendly against Peterborough United.

But he also has RC Lens left-back Gregory Vignal as another option, and he knows Vignal better after fielding him at Rangers.

Vignal also put in a performance described as 'strong' by McLeish in the friendly against Sporting Gijon.

"We will look to have a left-back in place for Sunday, something should happen in the next 24 hours," said the manager.
