Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish was on the continent on Thursday.
McLeish and chief scout Paul Montgomery watched Standard Liege lose the second leg of their quarter-final against Hamburg 3-1 (5-2 on aggregate).
McLeish would not be drawn on his target – or targets – in Belgium.
He told the Birmingham Mail: “I was there.
“We just took in a game and we will keep taking in the games when we can to the end of the season. There were a few good players on show – both teams. We are trying one or two things right now.”
