Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish admits moves for Rangers striker Kenny Miller and Tottenham winger David Bentley are still to be completed.
Gers have accepted a bid from Birmingham for Miller, while Bentley is a loan target.
McLeish told bcfc.com: "There are two players we have not got over the line yet but we're trying. We have agreed a fee with Rangers for Kenny Miller but that's as much as I can tell you at the moment.
"He is a cracking international player and I'm sure he would do well down here because he's matured into a fine player.
"But, as I've always said, I don't like to count my chickens until things are completed.
"With regards to David Bentley, we have agreed a loan deal with Tottenham and David's people pending a medical over the next few days. We would be delighted with his services as he would add quality to the squad.
"But, again, any official announcement will only be made when we've dotted all of the i's and crossed all the t's."
