Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton has told Nathan Redmond not to allow his head to be turned by Manchester City's interest.
Hughton insisted Blues have had no inquiries or offers for any of his squad.
"The nice bit is that any speculation about someone like Nathan is because he is a young developing player who has done well.
"But he also showed at Crystal Palace the other side. He's 17 years of age. He was up against a good, quick full-back in Nathaniel Clyne and he found it quite tough.
"That's where he is at the moment. He's a lad still developing. The absolute best place for him to develop is at Birmingham City.
"That's the best option for him to make progress.""Nathan is very much at the best place, very much," Hughton told the Birmingham Mail.
