Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish hopes to sign Manchester United winger Tom Cleverley for next season.
Cleverley has impressed on-loan at Watford this term and McLeish wants the England U21 international in a similar deal.
Eck is hoping to call on his good relationship with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson to land Cleverley ahead of the likes of Fulham and Watford.
