Birmingham City have signed Spartak Moscow captain Martin Jiranek for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old defender has signed a one-year deal at St Andrews and Blues boss Alex McLeish is delighted with his new signing.
"We are short at the back with regards to defensive cover," he told bcfc.co.uk.
"Jiranek has tremendous experience on club, European and international fronts.
"He is a good presence and his arrival will keep Roger Johnson and Scott Dann on their toes."
