Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is in South Africa this week.
McLeish has flown out to South Africa to take in some World Cup games and scout for potential new recruits.
But he is on top of the club's transfer plans and remains in touch with key executive Peter Pannu, who is maintaining contact with targets in England.
