Birmingham City are hopeful of a deal for West Ham United midfielder Lee Bowyer.

Manager Alex McLeish has made it clear that he wants to keep the experienced Bowyer as part of his plans providing his wage demands were not excessive.

The former Scotland boss said: "Lee did well for us after coming here and he would definitely be a worthy addition to the Birmingham squad."
