Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is ready to make a decision over the future of Christian Benitez.

The striker is on-loan from Mexico's Santos Laguna and is interesting West Ham United.

Big Eck said: "I've got to tell Christian what's happening next week, the same as the rest of them. We can't take him back on loan as I don't think that's an option.

"Next season is a big one for us. We've punched above our weight but if we're in the same position this time next year then I'll be in dreamland."
