Birmingham City boss Lee Clark isn't ruling out an outright deal for Newcastle United fullback Shane Ferguson.
The Express & Star says Brum have promised Newcastle they will assess whether they can afford to sign Ferguson permanently at the end of the season after bringing the winger back to St Andrew's on loan.
The Ulsterman will spend the season with Birmingham.
