Birmingham City are ready to offer £8 million for Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia.

The News of the World says the French forward only moved to the DW Stadium 12 months ago from Newcastle for £6 million.

But the switch has reignited N'Zogbia's career and now Alex McLeish wants to add the 23-year-old's pace to his frontline.

Wigan will not turn down the chance to make a £2 million profit after having the player for a year.
