Birmingham City have struck terms for West Ham United midfielder Lee Bowyer.

The Birmingham Mail says Bowyer spent a successful loan spell at St Andrew's from January, adding impetus to the push for Championship promotion.

And now, after protracted negotiations, he has become the latest addition to the ranks in a busy summer.

There are still some fine details to iron out before the signing, on a free transfer from West Ham, is announced.

But Alex McLeish can now move on to his next target.
