Birmingham agree £6m fee for Man Utd keeper Foster

Birmingham City have agreed a fee, thought to be an initial £4million rising to £6m, to sign Ben Foster from Manchester United, reports The Times. Foster has still to undergo his medical and agree personal terms as Birmingham looked to sign a replacement for Joe Hart who is returning to Manchester City after a highly-successful season-long loan.

Foster has publicly expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford after falling to third choice with the former Barclays Premier League champions.

The 27 year old has also fallen out of the England reckoning as Fabio Capello prepares to whittle down his 30-man squad for next month's World Cup finals.
