Bilyaletdinov desperate to win Chelsea move

Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov admits he wants a move to Chelsea in January.

Chelsea boss Avram Grant was in the stands to watch the player and his Serbian clubmate Branislav Ivanovic last month with a £25million bid for the pair apparently mooted.

The 22-year-old said: "I want to be a part of a great team, and perhaps advancing to Euro 2008 will be a professional springboard - both for me and others on the national team. I'm ready to go West - I just hope an offer will come my way. I'll have to prove myself all over again in clubs of this big a size, but I am prepared for any challenge."

Bilyaletdinov fits the bill for the creative player Grant is seeking to sign in January.

Grant is set to cast his eye over the Russian again against Israel on Saturday.

The midfielder believes he will have to do more to impress the Chelsea manager.

He said: "Grant definitely got a negative impression of me. It was a poor game. But my feeling is something big and important is coming."
