Bilic tips Portsmouth's Kranjcar for Arsenal move

Croatia coach Slaven Bilic believes Niko Kranjcar could end up at Arsenal because he is an identikit Arsene Wenger player.

After helping knock England out of the tournament, the Portsmouth player will take his place in the Croatia squad competing at Euro 2008, giving him the opportunity to show off his skills on the big stage.

Wenger has hinted that he will not be delving deep into The Gunners' financial resources as a knee-jerk reaction to his team's dramatic slump this term but will instead look to make only one or two key signings during the close season.

"Wenger wants to sign players that he likes and he knows they will be able to play in The Premier League," said Bilic to the media in his homeland.

"Niko made his name at Portsmouth and Wenger knows very well what he can give his side."
