Croatia boss Slaven Bilic says David Beckham's career is on a downer after his decision to join the LA Galaxy.

He said: "I was a Beckham fan until he left for America, and I don't follow him now.

"When he was playing for Manchester United and Real Madrid, the biggest teams in the world, he was a great player and, despite the money, he was always hungry for every ball, for every game.

"You could see that he loves it. Since he left to go to the States, you can't say that he's playing at the top level, so I can't judge his fitness and form now - but he still has that cross."
