Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon insists they won't battle an auction for Sampdoria striker Mauro Icardi.

The Azzurri failed to sign the striker in January after making a €12m bid. There are now reports that Inter Milan are ready to offer €15m for his services.

"I don't know what his agents are doing, but we will not be involved in any auction," Bigon said.

"We have or market strategies and we're keeping to them.

"We have an excellent relationship with Sampdoria, but let us not forget that we are only in the month of February."
