Former Aston Villa boss Ron Atkinson is convinced they'd have beaten Manchester United to the 1993 Premier League title if Dalian Atkinson had stayed fit.
Big Ron had Villa Park rocking during his three years in charge.
He recalled to the Birmingham Mail: "We had good players - a good experienced bunch and a crop of younger players behind them.
"At the back there was McGrath, Teale, Barrett, Staunton, and the best goalkeeper at the time that I have ever worked with in Bozzy (Mark Bosnich).
"We had experienced players like Parker, Richardson, Townsend, and Houghton and then there was Dalian (Atkinson) and Deano (Saunders) firing up front.
"I still believe if Dalian hadn't got injured at Christmas we would have won the league (in 92/93).
"We were flying at the time and he missed a big chunk after the Sheffield Wednesday game when he got two goals.
"We had experience and youth but the defence was solid and that's a vital part."
