Ron Atkinson doesn't believe Aston Villa's lack of winter market signings will hurt their season hopes.
Former Villa manager Atkinson believes there is still sufficient quality and strength in Martin O'Neill's claret and blue squad to challenge on three fronts.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "I would have thought Martin would have wanted to get someone in but obviously his targets weren't available for whatever reason.
"There's no point bringing people in for the sake of it if there's nobody out there better than what you've already got.
"I wouldn't think Martin will be too disappointed continuing with the squad he's got for the last few months of the season, providing they don't get too many injuries."
