Chelsea could have signed want-away Benfica star Fabio Coentrao for next-to-nothing three years ago.
The Portugal World Cup star is a £20 million target for Manchester City and has already declared his intention to leave Benfica this summer.
However, he could already be in Chelsea Blue if not for former manager Jose Mourinho.
Coentrao had trials at Stamford Bridge when he was first coming through at Rio Ave, but the chance to snap up the wing-back was rejected by the Special One.
