Big games helping Sterling develop at Man City

Raheem Sterling has said that participating in big games for Manchester City on a regular basis has helped him develop as a player.

Winger Sterling, who joined City from Liverpool last summer, has not quite been able to justify his enormous £49million price tag this season following inconsistent performances throughout the course of the campaign.

Despite the less than ideal debut season at the Etihad, Sterling feels that he has developed during his time at City and has credited regular participation in big games for his apparent progress.

In the lead-up to Euro2016 with England, the 21-year-old said in an interview with the Bleacher Report: "I am feeling good about it; this is my second tournament, so it is time to focus and try to do good things.

"In the last year, for me it has just been about being involved in more big games. That is something that has definitely helped me and will continue to help me for both club and country.

"The competitions and standard of football is high; I want to keep that going."
