Bhatia admits QPR must make quick managerial appointment

QPR vice-chairman Amit Bhatia say they must make a quick managerial appointment.

The London Evening Standard says QPR have drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace Harry Redknapp, who resigned on Tuesday, including the strong favourite Tim Sherwood, plus Derby coach Steve McClaren and Real Madrid assistant manager Paul Clement.

Bhatia said: "We are pretty clear what we are looking for and we are trying to find the right person.

"It's important (to appoint as soon as possible), we can't leave ourselves in a position of uncertainty. We will continue to work hard at it.

"It is a matter of great priority and we will try to make progress as soon as we can.

"It's an important process, I have had a lot of interaction with (chairman) Tony Fernandes and the board, everyone is aligned.

"We have great people in Kevin Bond and Chris Ramsey taking over for the weekend. As and when the right person is found, we will make the appointment."
